Evolution Theory overheard:

Third grade girls are looking at a book on evolution:

Girl # 1: Hey look at this! We used to be gorillas?

Girl # 2: Euw!! Look at that!

Girl # 3: Maybe it's just boys...

Where would I send you a book that I'd like you to review?

How funny!

I bet you overhear a lot of great conversations between kids.

Oh, I'm DEFINITELY thinking it's only the boys.

I am laughing out loud. No wonder everyone here thinks I'm nuts!

Thanks for giving me a giggle today.

LOL I am chuckling over this too. I wasn't sure if it was too sexist to post but I can't help myself.

Kim you can email me at cloudscomeATyahooDOTcom about review copies of books. I'd love to chat!

Cloudscome,

What a riot! Reading those comments reminds me of so many of the funny things I heard kids say when I was working as an elementary school teacher--and later a school librarian.

If it's just the boys, then that means they have actually EVOLVED. Not so sure sometimes!

Next time you see them, tell them about Lucy. Go to "Lucy (Australopithecus)" in Wikipedia.
