Contentment Haiku

gelt

Children sleep, cat's curled,
cold wind howls outside the house;
my heater kicks on.

I like the haiku, but actually I loathe it when the heater kicks on--so much nicer to spend money on books than heat!

LOL Charlotte I know what you mean. But you have to understand that it was 5:30 am and the heat is set to 62 overnight. When it first comes on in the morning it makes me happy. It is set to 66 during the day. :)

We do the same thing with the heat. I still can't believe how expensive oil is.

Love the poem. It is pure contentment.

Nice haiku! We have the heater on here, but I much prefer curling up in front of our woodburning fireplace. One day I'd like a fireplace in my bedroom!

Hey, I wanted to let you know that I've got some free books up for grabs as part of my December Pay It Forward Book Exchange. Stop by if you're interested in a chance to win. :)
