What a gorgeous picture. It looks like one of the many paths in a local park I like to walk in...alone or otherwise. I must say however that I could never feel lonely in such a setting. I just love the woods and forests and always feel a strong sense of presence there. It's my favorite place meditation, etc. Sometimes though, depending on where we are emotionally at the time, loneliness would certainly be appropriate.
Lovely photo and words. Like Ron though I wouldn't probably feel lonely in woodland like that, all those birds and squirrels to keep me company. But maybe if I was feeling lonely its where I'd go for solace...
Oh, and since I'm commenting, what level of coolness is the new Brown Bookshelf site! You've been doing great bringing forward books of children of color, but think how much can be accomplished toward that goal with five dedicated writers on the website and blog. What a great resource for kids lit. I knew that you'd share my excitement.
Stunning image and scene created by your words. I think I would feel protected and not very lonely surrounded by such nature. Which I guess proves the point that loneliness doesnt have to be a negative thing.

This is great and expresses the journey alone. Nice pic to go with.
Beautiful.
The walker's state of lonliness are reflected in the 'empty' crunch. Beautiful photograph.
That's one breathtaking image. Beautiful what God can do.
Beautiful picture. You are such an artist.
