I prefer the poem and photo separate from each other. I think that's because your photographs are so lovely...and are visual poems in themselves. The printing on the photograph brings to mind greeting cards for me.
it looks great like this. However I would also type the words in separately underneath, so that when you want to make a comment you can then also see the haiku at the same time to refresh your memory.
Thanks for offering all the thoughts. I think I will continue to post them separate with occasional experiments in combining the two. I am really interested in graphic poetry so I'd like to keep exploring...

I'm old school. I like them separate. I savor the words. I savor the picture. Two distinct flavors for me.

Maybe you can alternate between the two versions to please more people since not everyone enjoys them like this.
