Treading water
I haven't been blogging as much this week because everyone in my house is sick. We have antibiotics now, so things should be looking up. I have been reading The Loud Silence of Francine Green, or trying to, but I have to admit I am not really into it as much as some bloggers have been. It made the Cybils list of nominations for best middle grade fiction of 2006. It's about a 13 year old girl in Catholic School. I have no experience with Catholic school so it doesn't really resonate with me. I may abandon it for something else on my launch pad.

I didn't kvell to Loud Silence either. I think I'm a fan of both Karen Cushman and Kate DiCamillo, but the truth is that I've only ever loved the first book each one wrote.
I didn't get into Francine either. I ended up abandoning it for something else...
I'm not a fan of Francine.
I didn't love it either. It was okay at the beginning, but seemed to get more and more forced. I liked Cuba 15 from your launching pad. Light fun.
I think I will try Francine Green as I am a former Catholic schoolgirl and intrigued by it. I'll let you know how it goes.
