Haven't done Friday Poetry in a while but with the changing seasons I am inspired again. I always enjoy a good melancholy haiku.

Today's Friday Poetry round up is hosted by Amy at The Poem Farm. Enjoy!

Time, time just goes, doesn't it? I like the haiku-briefly chronicling this tree, and the photo adds much. Thanks Andi.

Dramatic photograph, Andi - like the poem, it both beckons and embraces.

Hi, Andi! Is it true that the last time YOU were here the buds were newly green?

Is it appropriate to have commas in haiku? I wished for one after "here". Beautiful thought.

So beautiful. And so true. Sometimes time goes without us even noticing, but the leaves tell the truth. Thank you...I am so glad you're back with a pairing of photo and haiku. Happy Poetry Sunday!

I always enjoy a good melancholy haiku, too, Andi. A good melancholy anything, really. :)
