Friday Poetry: Micah Bournes on "normal hair"

I saw a friend post this video on Facebook this week and I had to pass it on. Micah Bournes performs his original poetry on the subject of "normal hair". I just love the joy and energy that blows through his presentation. He is a new-to-me poet and I am really enjoying his work!

Fantastic! Great take on this concept of "normal" (and the marketing of these perceptions). Thanks for sharing this today!

Hooray for GLORIOUS hair! Love the idea of God as my template, too!

Perfect! I love this poem (sheepishly said as I just had a perm obviously forgetting my hair was already GLORIOUS) What a great performance Micah Bournes delivers! Wish he could come to our coffee house!

Somehow it reminded me of India Arie's "Because I am A Queen" - I think she also have a song entitled "I am not my hair" - great companion for this piece. :)
