there's a poet let loose in the library...
a bench by the water
geese on the wind
Lovely, Andi. "Geese on the wind" = :)
Andi, I also love "geese on the wind." Your poem evokes feelings of stability in the face of change.
flying free - and deep quiet - these are the things that come to mind as I read the poem. Very beautiful indeed.
I like the photo: my eye is stretching to see three trees gathered on a bench of leaf-covered bank. The geese are already gone.
Lovely! I especially like the image of "three" here.
Thanks friends! I wanted to come back and edit the post to add some backstory but now I'll just put it in the comments =I went walking with two friends from a job all three of us have left for one reason or another. We are all exploring new ventures, filled with new ideas and energy. It's a bit scary but so exciting. Change - like geese and water and wind, always moving. Yet there is the peace and stability of long friendships, connections that hold on and move one forward. October, when the earth tips toward a new season and the chilled air is fresh...
