Your picture and haiku say "Summer Freedom" to me!
And they remind me of the time I was riding barefoot and got trapped in the middle of a goat head patch. Luckily, my brother was with me and he rode home and got my shoes!
Wonderful, Andi! I especially like that this is not some manicured, perfect lawn. It's the kind of lawn or field where a bike CAN be dropped to the ground while you run around and explore.
Sometimes I go by the name "cloudscome", taken from a favorite haiku by the poet Basho. I'm a librarian posting about multiculti kid's books, poetry, knitting, my garden and gluten free cooking.

Beautiful picture, beautiful poem, as always!
Ah, bikes! What would my childhood have been without that bit of freedom to go farther and faster? Thanks for the smile.
Childhood summers were the best. Thanks.
What a nice reminder of those carefree days. How I loved my bike!
I loved riding my bike when I was young--so, too, my daughter. Great haiku for a Poetry Friday.

This is so right-on for a Friday - freedom, friendship - and bikes! Love the photo too!
I can hear them falling, and the happy sounds surrounding them. So nice.
