I never read the word nor see the flower without thinking of the mythology -- I can imagine Narcissus spilling the sun; anything so that he could look at himself!
Sometimes I go by the name "cloudscome", taken from a favorite haiku by the poet Basho. I'm a librarian posting about multiculti kid's books, poetry, knitting, my garden and gluten free cooking.
