Oh, oops!
SO, are you relenting, and going to leave it alone!?

The dog gone thing has a tap root going down under my house! It's wiggled it's way down through a pile of leaves that were neglected and turned into compost. Now I can't get that stubbord thing out. Even my dad gave up and told me to hack it off at the base. I forgot to do that of course and now it is in bloom. Oy.

Are you talking about this gorgeous flower?!

I know, it's hard to believe I am talking about this gorgeous bloom. But it is on a Rose of Sharon, which is a lovely plant that spreads its seeds far and wee. It gets on your nerves after you have pulled the suckers out of every crack and crevice in your entire property. Now I now why my aunt was laughing when I asked her for a couple young plants eight years ago. I do like the flowers but I wish they were where I intended them to grow. Hence the poetic nature of my garden this year.
