What is this?

spider 3.JPG, originally uploaded by cloudscome.

Anyone? It was on the blinds in the sunroom. The slats are 1/4" wide so it is about 1/2 inch long. Brown stripes on her legs, white marks on her back. Very hairy, with two big eyes and a bunch of smaller eyes. Green mouth parts! I am thinking a wolf spider?

Off the top of my head, I would say it's either an Eensy-Weensy or an Itsy-Bitsy spider.

You just threw your cereal bowl at me, didn't you!

Looks like a wolf spider to me too.

AWESOME pictures, no matter what it is! May we assume that you captured it and released it outside with your coneflower?

Ha Ha Alkelda - you got me on that one! LOL

I actually was afraid it would bite me so I just took some quick pictures and let it scurry away. Believe it or not I don't mind spiders in the corners of the sunroom. They eat the flies and mosquitoes so I usually leave them alone. I do knock down the webs when I get around to it. ;)

I work for a conservatory blinds company in the UK, I have to say that if I ever came across a spider that big I would be leaving my job in an instant... ooooh horrible... luckily the uk spiders are small compared with that monster...

It is a harmless bold jumping spider. It doesn't eat plants, only other insects. We had one outside our house... That "face" on the back is unmistakable.
